Interviews are now available for streaming from the 28th Annual Writer's Symposium by the Sea, Writing That Celebrates. This year's writers included Pulitzer winning writers Anthony Doerr, William Finnegan, Maria Hinojosa, and N. Scott Momaday.

Shaun Donelson, M.A.

I have taught in the Administration of Justice Department at Grossmont College for the past 32 years. I have taught, Introduction to Administration of Justice, Criminal Evidence, and Criminal Investigations. I retired from the San Diego Police Department after 22 years of service and spent 9 years with the University of California Police Department prior to that. I’ve worked a number of assignments in law enforcement including Patrol, Training Division, Police Administration, Critical Incident Management Unit, and in several investigations units as a Detective.

Geneviéve Jones-Wright, JD

I obtained a J.D. from Howard Law after graduating from the University of San Francisco with a B.A. in mass media communications. Thereafter, I obtained an LL.M. in Trial Advocacy specializing in federal criminal defense from California Western School of Law. I proudly served San Diego County as a public defender for 13 years. I now serve as the founding Executive Director for Community Advocates for Just and Moral Governance (MoGo), an impact litigation organization that focuses on racial and social justice.

Andrew Galvin, JD

Andrew Galvin has been an Assistant U.S. Attorney at the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of California since 2013. He is assigned to the Major Frauds and Special Prosecution section where he prosecutes cases involving white collar crime, public corruption, and organized crime. As a federal prosecutor, Andrew has tried numerous jury trials and has argued before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
