I have been a police officer for 28 years and currently serve as Chief of Police in Carlsbad (CA). Through my career I have held assignments as a patrol officer and sergeant, property crimes detective, undercover vice/narcotics detective, crimes of violence sergeant, traffic division, internal affairs, and administration. I possess a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Juris Doctorate. I am also a licensed attorney in the State of California. I consider myself a life-long learner.
