Dr. Kerry D. Fulcher was elected as the 15th President of Point Loma Nazarene University (PLNU) in 2024. Prior to his election, he served as Provost and Chief Academic Officer at PLNU from 2010-2024. He began his PLNU career in 1994 as a faculty member in the biology department and served as biology chair from 2002 to 2008. He became Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences in 2008 and Provost and Chief Academic Officer in 2010. Dr. Fulcher has served on several national advisory councils including the Network on Vocation in Undergraduate Education and Educational Advisory Board’s (EAB) Research Advisory Council. He is a Board member of the San Diego Economic Development Corporation (EDC) and the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Jeff Bolster is Vice President for University Services at PLNU, responsible for Campus Facilities, Instructional Technology Services, Public Safety, Food Services, the bookstore and Auxiliary Services. He’s a member of the President’s Cabinet.

Mary Rearick Paul serves as vice president for spiritual development at PLNU. She leads and provides oversight for Spiritual Development programming serving the undergraduate population. This includes chaplain ministries, Chapel programming, discipleship ministries, international ministries, and community ministries. She also provides oversight for spiritual care programs offered to PLNU’s graduate programs. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet.

G. James Daichendt is the Interim Provost and Chief Academic Officer at Point Loma Nazarene University. Prior to this position, he served as Vice-Provost (2019-2024), Dean of the Colleges (2017-2024), and Dean of Arts and Humanities (2015-2017) at PLNU. Jim is the founding editor of the academic journal, "Visual Inquiry: Learning and Teaching Art" and is the author of eight books addressing a variety of topics in the visual arts, the most recent being "Tribal and Cultural Legacy of Streetwear" (2024). He co-curated Street Legacy: SoCal Style Masters at the California Center for Arts Museum (2022) and Sidewalk Activism at the Oceanside Museum of Art (2020). Jim is the recipient of a 2021 Lifetime Achievement award from the Office of the President of the United States for his service to the arts community and holds two master’s degrees and a doctorate from Harvard, Boston, and Columbia universities.
