There is a deeply innate part of human nature that calls us to move. With movement at the core of everything we do, the study of physical action is an area of both fascination and immense benefits.
The Department of Kinesiology provides you with a dynamic environment to explore how to optimize health and physical efficiency through hands-on experience and research. Guided by faculty who inspire you to set transformational personal and professional goals alongside unique and personalized internships or clinical opportunities, you can hit the ground running toward a career that focuses on helping people improve their health.
The Department of Kinesiology is proud to be affiliated with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE), and more. Through these affiliations, we are helping prepare students at our undergraduate and graduate levels to become the next-generation of kinesiology professionals.
