The housing application will be available online through the student portal. Students will receive a detailed email from the Housing Office with important information about dates and deadlines. Students will choose and verify roommates through the application.
All students who currently live on campus, with the exception of rising seniors choosing to live off campus, are required to fill out a housing application. Failure to complete a housing application yields your placement to the Office of Residential Life.
Some students opt to live off campus or study abroad. There is a place on the application to indicate your desire to live off campus or your plans to study abroad.
Below you will find cohort specific information. Please read the information pertinent to your cohort.
Rising Sophomores (current Freshmen who will be Sophomores next year)
Rising sophomores live on campus unless they are living at their primary residence with their parents. If you are planning on living at home next year, complete the application indicating your desire to live at home. The housing office will verify this information.
Rising Juniors (current Sophomores who will be Juniors next year)
Our expectation is that rising juniors will be living on campus. If you are interested in applying to be on the off-campus wait-list, select "off campus wait-list" in the application and then complete the rest of the application and proceed through the room selection process, assuming you will live on campus. You will be notified via email if your request to live off campus has been approved.
Rising Seniors (current Juniors who will be Seniors next year)
Rising seniors can self-select to live off campus. Rising seniors only need to fill out the housing application if they are choosing to live on campus.
IMPORTANT
Leases, rental agreements, or other off campus housing commitments must not be made until official approval from the PLNU housing office is received via your PLNU email account. We will be emailing approved individuals on a rolling notification from April through July based on need and in random order.
