This Homecoming, we have a unique opportunity to celebrate PLNU’s past, present, and future. We invite you to join us on campus, February 13 - 16, for a memorable weekend of Homecoming festivities, celebrations, and time-honored traditions — including, welcoming Dr. Kerry Fulcher as the 15th president of Point Loma Nazarene University. New events continue to be added, check back often for the most up-to-date schedule of events and to plan your weekend!
The Homecoming Weekend Pass or Homecoming Weekend Reunion Pass will grant you access to all signature events*.

Purposeful Estate Planning Seminar
12 - 1 p.m. | Zoom
Learn how to secure the future for you and your family with helpful insights on estate planning. Learn about income producing and tax saving strategies as we cover the topics of wills, trusts, and estate planning.
Friday, Feb 14
Alumni Hub Hours
9 - 11:30 a.m. and 3 - 7:30 p.m. | Campus Mall, across from the Ryan Library
The Alumni Office asks all guests to check in at the Alumni Hub during Homecoming 2025. At check-in, you will receive a name tag which will serve as your pass, providing you access to all Homecoming activities as well as a welcome gift.

Homecoming Chapel

Join campus for a traditional Friday chapel service - from the chapel speaker to the worship band, this chapel service will be alumni edition! During this service, Dr. Fulcher will bestow two students with the Rising Alumni Award. You may join this event in person or on live stream.
Rising Alumni Dessert Reception

Congratulate the 2025 student awardees at the Rising Alumni dessert reception immediately following Chapel.
Investiture Ceremony
2 - 3:30 p.m. | Brown Chapel
The investiture ceremony will mark the official appointment of Dr. Kerry Fulcher as Point Loma Nazarene University's 15th President.

We Are Loma 5K

Run, walk, or jog 3.1 miles in our annual Homecoming 5K! Participants are encouraged to bring their families and join the PLNU community on two laps around our beautiful campus!
Research Associates Breakfast
9 - 11 a.m. | Friendship Plaza & Ellipse Chapel
Join the Research Associates for their 46th Annual Breakfast! Celebrate PLNU's science programs by meeting our graduating seniors and their faculty, receiving a greeting from newly-elected University President, Dr. Kerry Fulcher, and hearing a keynote address from alumna, Dr. Katie Friederich '07. All that plus a delicious catered breakfast served in the outdoor morning sunshine!

Academic Department Gatherings

Join alumni, faculty and current students to network, connect, and celebrate the good work being done within your academic department or field of interest.

Sea Lions Baseball Double Header
11 a.m. and 2 p.m. | Carroll B. Land Stadium
Cheer on our sea lions as they compete against Biola University in a double header at “America’s Most Science Ballpark”!

Loma Legacy Luncheon & Awards Presentation
12 - 2 p.m. | Liberty Station Conference Center
The Distinguished Achievement and Spotlight Alumni Award represent two of the highest honors presented to graduates on behalf of PLNU. Celebrate and extend your congratulations to this year’s awardees over lunch at the Loma Legacy Luncheon and Awards Presentation.
*This event is free, but advance registration is required to guarantee lunch. Please indicate your RSVP when selecting a Homecoming Weekend Pass.
15 Year Reunion*: 2009, 2010, 2011

Homecoming Marketplace & Tailgate
3 - 6:30 p.m. | Campus Mall, Greek Amphitheatre, and Evans Lot
From sweet treats to artisan shops to a bounce house and ferris wheel — the marketplace is the perfect place to connect with friends and let the kids play! Stroll the campus mall to shop from incredible alumni vendors and student artisans while taking in the student-led live music. Enjoy a sunset ride on the ferris wheel before heading to the basketball game!
Women’s and Men’s Basketball Games
5:45 p.m. Women's Game, 8 p.m. Men’s Game | Golden Gym
Cheer on our sea lions at the women’s & men’s basketball games in the Golden Gym! This Homecoming, our Sea Lions will be competing against Concordia University Irvine.
