Linda Beail, Ph.D.

Dr. Linda Beail teaches courses in American politics, political theory, and gender & race politics. Her research interests include theorizing about postfeminism, the politics of popular culture, and gender & religion in American politics. Her most recent book is entitled Mad Men and Politics: Nostalgia and the Remaking of Modern America. Her current research is on pleasure and anxiety in the pop culture representations of political women, with recent book chapters on Black Widow and gender in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and gender in presidential elections.

Matt Boyne, Ed.D.

Dr. Matt Boyne came to PLNU in 2008 as an adjunct faculty member specializing in operations and project management. After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1980, he served as a Naval Aviator, flight and weapons training instructor, maintenance officer, and commanding officer while flying the F/A-18 Hornet from carriers deployed around the globe. Since leaving the Navy, he has taught at the graduate level for multiple universities. Academically, Dr.

Michael Wiese, Ph.D.

Dr. Michael Wiese joined PLNU in 2017 as a professor of marketing, teaching in the undergraduate and graduate business programs. He remains very active in marketing consulting projects serving multiple organizations across the United States.

Bruce Schooling, Ph.D.

Dr. Bruce Schooling entered into his Ph.D. program at New Mexico State after serving as a senior pastor at three different Nazarene churches for a combined 18 years. After earning his Ph.D. in management in 1998, he started at PLNU as an assistant professor of management. He then served as the director of the M.B.A. Program from 2000 – 2004 before becoming dean of the School of Business in 2004. During his seven years as dean, Schooling focused his time on ensuring quality business education and played an important role in the FSB's reaffirmation of accreditation by ACBSP in 2010.

Randal Schober, Ed.D.

Dr. Randal Schober began at PLNU in 2009 as an adjunct faculty member before becoming a full-time associate professor of management in 2014. He came to PLNU with over 20 years of experience in for-profit and not-for-profit executive leadership and entrepreneurship. As the former executive director of SurfAid, he provided much-needed humanitarian programs to remote islands in Indonesia.

Jamie Hess, DBA

Dr. Jamie Hess joined the Fermanian School of Business (FSB) in 2013 as a full-time professor of marketing. She came to PLNU with more than ten years of experience in academia. Her professional background in marketing and fundraising included serving as the marketing director of the Armory Art Center and the director of corporate and foundation relations at Palm Beach Atlantic University. During her academic tenure at Palm Beach Atlantic University, she served in several leadership roles, including undergraduate chair, internship director, and member of the interim dean management team.

Frank Marshall, DBA

Dr. Frank Marshall joined PLNU as an adjunct faculty member in 2015 and as a full time faculty member in 2017, teaching both graduate and undergraduate management courses. Dr. Marshall became associate dean of the Fermanian School of Business in 2020. He came to PLNU with over 35 years of senior management experience. Marshall began his career as the controller for Hughes Aircraft Company Maquiladora, a defense contractor for the U.S. military.

Kim Hogelucht, Ph.D.

Dr. Kimberly Hogelucht serves as a professor of business at Point Loma Nazarene University where she teaches business communication and directs business internships. Her expertise in helping college students develop the business and professional skills needed to secure employment and communicate effectively in the workplace has allowed her to serve a vital role in preparing her students for life beyond college. Kim holds a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego, M.A. in Speech Communication from San Diego State University, and B.A.

Carl Hammond, MBA, CPA

Carl Hammond came to PNLU in 2002 with 30 years of professional accounting experience. After serving in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War, he became a CPA for Price Waterhouse and served in the auditing, tax, and management advisory services departments from 1972 – 1979. He then served in various senior management and accounting roles for five public and private companies, including controller and treasurer for the Douglas Allred Company and vice president of finance for the Lomas Santa Fe Group.

Robert Gailey, Ph.D.

Dr. Rob Gailey joined the Fermanian School of Business (FSB) as a professor of business in 2005. In addition to teaching in the undergraduate and graduate programs, he serves as the director of the Center for International Development (CID). Gailey’s experience and work has revolved around ways to engage the workplace and the church in helping address global poverty. He has served as an associate pastor, missionary, nonprofit leader, and educator around the areas of economic development, cross-cultural advocacy, and poverty alleviation.
