What do I need to do to prepare for Tutor.com?
Be sure to think about what would help you the most in regard to a tutoring session.
- Do you need to have a live interaction and get your questions answered?
- Or do you need to have someone give you feedback on a paper you've written?
We recommend not submitting a paper for feedback for assignments like discussion post but picking assignments life full essays that need feedback on structure, APA formatting, and if you're aligning your work to your thesis statement.
I want my paper checked for grammar, is Tutor.com a good place to go for that?
Yes and no. You'll use up your hours quickly if you submit all of your posts and papers simply for grammar. However, if you are consistently making a grammatical error that you need an explanation for, the tutors can be a resource to explain your mistake and teach you the correct way. They are not copyeditors, so they won't fix your work for you. (Possible resources include Grammarly, the Grammar topic in the Academic Resources course, or having a friend you trust help you proofread)
