Loma Fund
The Loma Fund
Did you know?
Nine out of 10 students at PLNU receive some form of financial aid.
The average financial need of a PLNU student is more than $16,000.
Without scholarships, many of these students wouldn't have the opportunity to attend PLNU.
What is the Loma Fund?
The Loma Fund provides scholarships for many of our students, ensuring they can come to PLNU and receive a life-transforming education.
Why give?
Everyone has their own reasons for giving — perhaps your life was changed for the better at PLNU, you have a student attending, or you just want to be a part of something meaningful that will last a lifetime.
Whatever your reasons, by giving to the Loma Fund, you'll be counted among the community of supporters who are preparing students to make a difference with their lives and careers. Your contribution of any amount to the Loma Fund can help prepare students to fully become who they're called to be.
Join PLNU and make a Christ-centered, holistic education possible by investing in the Loma Fund today.
Endowed Scholarship
Endowed Scholarship
What is an endowed scholarship?
Giving toward an endowed scholarship is a gift that will keep on giving, as each year it will provide new educational opportunities for a succession of carefully selected young men and women. When a gift is made to an endowment, PLNU judiciously invests it so the scholarship can continue for generations — leaving a legacy of giving. A scholarship is set up in the name of the donor, or in the name of a friend or family member the donor chooses to honor.
How do I establish an endowed scholarship?
An endowed scholarship is fully funded once the principal gift reaches $30,000, although more can be given to allow for more scholarships to be awarded to students. If you are not able to fully fund the endowment with a single gift, your pledge to establish the fund may be extended for three years with an initial commitment of $10,000.
As the donor, you may choose to place reasonable restrictions on the selection process. In other words, you may stipulate that the award is given to a student in a particular academic discipline, students attaining a required grade point average, or students demonstrating financial need. Generally, these scholarships are awarded only to continuing students (i.e., sophomores, juniors, or seniors).
If you are interested in establishing an endowed scholarship, please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.
How can I give to existing endowed scholarships?
We welcome any amount given to increase existing endowed scholarships. Various academic and other departments are responsible for awarding these scholarships, and each department has its own application process and deadline.
If you are interested in adding to an existing scholarship, please view the list of existing endowed scholarships and select one under the department that interests you.
