Mary Rearick Paul serves as vice president for Student Life and Formation at PLNU. She leads and provides oversight for Student Life and Formation programming serving the undergraduate population. This includes chaplain ministries, Chapel programming, discipleship ministries, international ministries, and community ministries. She also provides oversight for spiritual care programs offered to PLNU’s graduate programs. She is a member of the President’s Cabinet.
Dr. Paul has had various articles and chapters published. Her first book, Women Who Lead: The Call of Women in Ministry, was published in 2011. Dr. Paul has served on the Credential Committee, Studies Board, and as the coordinator for the assessment process for the New England District Church of the Nazarene, and currently serves on the Board of Ministry for the Southern California District Church of the Nazarene. She is also a member of the Leadership Board of the Peace River Christian Fellowship (affiliated with San Diego First Church of the Nazarene).
Dr. Paul received her master of divinity from Boston University School of Theology and her doctorate of ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary with an emphasis in biblical preaching and leadership. She was ordained an elder in the Church of the Nazarene in 1991. She served as pastor at various churches in the New England region until joining the faculty, as an associate professor of Christian ministry, at Olivet Nazarene University in 2005. In 2007, she was appointed vice president for Student Life and Formation at PLNU.
