Dr. Robert LaChausse is a Professor in the Department of Public Health Sciences at California Baptist University (CBU) and directs the Prevention Research and Program Evaluation Lab where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in health behavior, research methods, statistics, and program evaluation. His research interests are in substance use prevention, teen pregnancy prevention, evaluation methods, and implementation fidelity. His research has been funded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). His research has been published in such journals as the Journal of Adolescent Health, American Journal of Public Health, Health Promotion Practice, American Journal of Evaluation, and the Journal of Immigrant Health. He served as the Chair of the Health Evaluation Section for the American Evaluation Association (AEA) (2006-2016) and as a Governing Councilor on the Board of the American Public Health Association (APHA) (2019-2021). He currently is on the Board of Directors of the National Prevention Science Coalition (NPSC) in Washington, DC and is a consultant to the White House’s Office of National Drug Control Policy (HIDTA), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and various state and county public agencies across the United States. He earned his PhD in Psychology from Claremont Graduate University.
