Use the dropdown below to find the opportunity that best aligns with your educational goals.
Graduate Studies
Medical Sciences, M.S.
The Master of Science in Medical Sciences provides holistic training in the fundamentals of anatomy and medicine. It’s ideal for learners interested in pursuing medical and professional degrees such as M.D., D.O., DMD, DDS, DPT, DOT, and P.A., especially as applying to these programs becomes increasingly competitive. It’s also perfect for rising anatomy educators.
Some students will have the opportunity to become Anatomy Scholars, who help set up and teach anatomy labs for the ALI. They will have up to 10 units of their tuition covered during their second academic year.
Anatomical Sciences Education, Graduate Certificate
The 10-unit Anatomical Sciences Education Certificate is designed to advance professionals’ skills and knowledge in anatomical sciences to help them succeed in a variety of graduate and professional programs — or prepare them to teach anatomy at the college level.
Sharpen your skills in areas such as:
- Gross anatomy
- Applied neuroanatomy
- Human embryology
- Teaching and learning anatomy
Undergraduate Studies
Minor in Medical Sciences
This minor empowers learners with a combination of cutting edge learning technology and hands-on training to familiarize them with the study of the human body. This minor is ideal for anyone studying biology, chemistry, psychology, or interested in pursuing pre-med and health tracks. It also prepares learners perfectly for the M.S. in Medical Sciences and similar graduate programs.
Topics include:
- Clinical anatomy
- Applied neuroanatomy
- Human embryology
- Advanced biochemistry
- Physiology
Minor in Clinical Anatomy
This minor creates a strong foundation in anatomy through in-depth learning and practical lab training. This minor is ideal for anyone studying biology, chemistry, psychology, or interested in pursuing pre-med and health tracks. It's also ideal for learners in educational programs like child development and early childhood education.
Topics include:
- Clinical anatomy
- Musculoskeletal anatomy
- Applied neuroanatomy
- Human embryology
Concentrations (Hybrid)
Concentration in Anatomy Education
The Anatomy Education concentration is for learners in the College of Health Sciences (in programs such as kinesiology, athletic training, physician assistant, occupational therapy, and similar graduate programs) who are interested in teaching anatomy part- or full-time at the high school or college level.
Standalone Courses (Online)
Human Anatomy with Lab
The Human Anatomy with Lab course provides fully online, asynchronous training in the structural organization of all the major organ systems of the human body. Learners will use cutting-edge technology to complete their virtual labs and learn about the human body using the Visible Body-Courseware platform. This course meets the anatomy prerequisite.
This course is offered in 7- and 14-week options during fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Human Physiology with Lab
The Human Physiology with Lab course provides fully online, asynchronous training in the physiological principles, function, integration and homeostasis of the human body at the cellular to organ system level. This course perfectly complements the Human Anatomy with Lab course.
This course is offered in 7- and 14-week options during fall, spring, and summer semesters.
Neuroanatomy
The Neuroanatomy course provides in-depth learning around the anatomy of the human nervous system and its neuroanatomical structures and function.
This course is offered in 7- and 14-week options during fall, spring, and summer semesters.
High School Credit Courses
ALI offers classes you can take during high school to receive college credits. These courses are tailored to meet you at your knowledge level. Each class is designed to give you a head start on transferable college credits while boosting your chances of being accepted into your desired program.
