Can you imagine yourself being the liaison between tech savvy and business savvy? If so, a dual minor in computer technology and marketing could be the right fit for you. This minor combines elements from two academic disciplines, equipping you with logical problem-solving skills and an understanding of how your future industry’s marketplace operates.
Technology is the number one driver of change in the business world today. Marketers have more data to work with than ever before, which presents new opportunities and new challenges. Being able to comfortably operate in business and technology will help increase your value to future employers. That could mean developing technology solutions to new marketing problems, or being better equipped to market to a tech-savvy audience. No matter the direction business will head in the future, you will have the right foundation to explore uncharted territory with confidence.
In addition to academics, the life skills I gained while at PLNU have been incredibly beneficial to my work. Learning how to research well, knowing what to look for and where to look, being able to adapt when I’m put in situations I’m not familiar or comfortable with, and being taught that business is about more than the bottom line — these aspects are what I value most from my undergraduate experience and are what have helped me stand out in the business world.
