Program Overview

Strengthen your knowledge of anatomy and set yourself up for success in a variety of academic and professional settings.

This minor empowers students with a strong foundation in anatomy through in-depth learning and practical lab training. This includes a surgical anatomy suite that features lab experience with a body donor — a rare opportunity for undergraduate students. Topics include:

  • Clinical anatomy
  • Musculoskeletal anatomy
  • Applied neuroanatomy
  • Human embryology

This minor is ideal for anyone interested in the health sciences, including students studying biology, chemistry, kinesiology, psychology, and similar programs. It's also ideal for students in educational programs such as child development or early childhood education who want a better understanding of the human body. This 16 unit minor is perfect for students interested in pursuing graduate studies in career areas such as:

  • Pre-med
  • Physician assistant
  • Physical Therapy
  • Occupational Therapy
  • Dental

It is also designed to lead seamlessly into PLNU’s M.S. in Medical Sciences or the graduate certificate in anatomical sciences education.
