Does exploring the molecular structure, function, and development of living organisms sound interesting? If so, adding a minor in cell and molecular biology to your undergraduate degree could be a great option to consider.

This minor through PLNU's Department of Biology offers an in-depth study into the mechanisms that are involved in life's basic biological processes. Classes in the cell and molecular biology minor cover a range of specialized disciplines for you to engage in, such as biochemistry, microbiology, genetics, and immunology. You will be part of dynamic discussions and projects that work to apply what you are learning into making more informed decisions around healthcare, the environment, biotechnology, research, and more.

You will also be able to work side-by-side with passionate and knowledgeable professors within classroom labs and field experiences. Other unique hands-on learning opportunities can be found in student-led science clubs, faculty-assisted research projects, and internships with local organizations. You'll also have access to sophisticated instrumentation and computational resources for use in courses and labs, all housed within our new state-of-the-art science center.
