The Finance and Investment Society brings together students, faculty, and local business professionals who share a passion for finance and investing.
The club holds numerous networking events that provide opportunities to meet, learn from, and establish relationships with regional finance and investment professionals. In addition, the club holds an annual investment portfolio competition where students compete against one another to maximize their portfolio valuation.
Society members may have the opportunity to be selected for a five-member team to represent PLNU in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Equity Research Challenge. Each team competes against other local universities in creating an equity research report for a San Diego-based, publicly traded company, and presents its report to professional investment managers.
