Commencement

Graduation day is not just about endings. The steps you take as you walk past the pillars of the Greek Amphitheatre are the first steps into your new life as a PLNU alum, ready to put your hard-earned degree to work.

It all leads to this moment

Graduation day is also the moment when you remember the friends, family, and professors who supported you throughout your PLNU journey, and the lessons you learned along the way. Crossing that stage brings you a step closer to fully becoming who you are called to be.

PRESIDENT FULCHER'S MESSAGE TO THE GRADUATES

PRESIDENT FULCHER'S MESSAGE TO THE GRADUATES

Dear Graduating Class,

Congratulations! Today marks a remarkable milestone in your life, celebrating not only what you have accomplished but also the promise of the future that lies ahead. Please accept my heartfelt best wishes as you step into this new chapter.

As you leave PLNU, I am confident that you are well prepared for the journey before you, whether that journey leads to a career, further studies, or new and exciting endeavors. My prayer is that your education and experiences here at PLNU have nurtured your growth—intellectually, spiritually, and personally. I hope you carry forward all that you’ve learned and gained, using your gifts to live out your faith through a life of service to God and others. Remember, the world needs people like you—those who are committed to making a difference, to bringing hope and light into every space you enter. Be inspired and encouraged by Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”

As you take your next steps, remember the friendships you’ve formed and the memories you’ve made here at PLNU. These relationships, along with the guidance of your professors and the support of your peers, are an enduring part of your foundation. I encourage you to stay connected to your alma mater, where you are always welcome, and to the people who have shared in this transformative journey with you. These connections will continue to uplift and shape you throughout your life.

May God’s richest blessings accompany you today and in all that lies ahead. Celebrate this moment, and embrace the future with hope, courage, and joy.

With gratitude and hope,

Kerry Fulcher, Ph.D.
President
