The College of Health Science expands Balboa Campus for new Occupational Therapy program scheduled to start the first cohort in Fall 2023
“The new Balboa Campus construction and addition to the College of Health Sciences provides us with an incredible opportunity to incorporate some of the latest technology in rehabilitation to build innovative labs that will benefit PLNU students and the greater community,” said Occupational Therapy Program Director Dr. Beth Sullivan
The Balboa Campus, “Phase 3” plans for construction include: New Classrooms, New Movement Labs, New ADL (Activities of Daily Living), New Orthotics Lab, outdoor garden, and a “full apartment” featuring accessible technologies and modifications that can maximize independence and improve quality of life for people with disabilities or and older adults as they age in place. The project represents a significant investment to develop PLNU’s first Occupational Therapy degree program and address a critical need for Occupational Therapy services throughout California and other states.
