Dr. Katie Manning, associate professor of writing, was a featured poetry reader at the (Not) Dead (Yet) Poetry Society’s First Friday Reading Series in San Diego in January, at the NOW That's What I Call Poetry Reading Series in San Diego in March, and at the Lit Literary Collective in South Bend in March.
Also in March, she gave a presentation of "28,065 Nights: Poems" at the Popular Culture Association national conference in Indianapolis, and she presented on a panel called "Making Space: The Literary Journal as Witness" at the Festival of Faith & Writing in Grand Rapids in April. From November 2017 to April 2018, twenty-two of her poems were published in literary magazines, including TAB: A Journal of Poetry & Poetics, Mom Egg Review, St. Katherine Review, The Windhover, The Light Ekphrastic, and Ink & Letters.
