Steven Suhrheinrich joined the Fermanian School of Business (FSB) in 2024 as an Associate Professor of Management.
Steve Suhrheinrich's career history combines entrepreneurship, education, military leadership, and finance. Steve earned an MBA from San Diego State University and a BS from Vanderbilt University.
At the heart of Steve's professional story is Curvo, a B2B software company he co-founded to improve hospitals' management of medical device costs. As a co-founder, he wore all the hats, from ideation to fundraising, product development, sales, and customer success. He played a pivotal role in navigating the company through its first $3 million in sales before hiring leaders and building a team to grow through its critical Series A stage. As the Chief Customer Officer, Steve fostered a culture of mentorship and developed training programs that were crucial for customer satisfaction and Curvo's growth. Steve currently serves as a Board Director on Curvo's board.
Before Curvo's inception in 2012, Steve's journey included leadership roles in various start-ups and established companies and a notable tenure as a US Navy Officer. In the investment world, he was known for his knack for building relationships with CFOs, lawyers, and bankers and his keen eye for deal analysis and investment oversight. His naval career was marked by leading teams and projects and skillfully navigating peacetime and wartime challenges.
As an Associate Professor of Management at Point Loma Nazarene University, Steve teaches entrepreneurial Creativity and Innovation and Strategic Management. He is passionate about equipping students with the tools and mindset to grow professionally and spiritually.
Steve's professional success is grounded in pursuing a life with purpose and passion. He's been happily married to Jessica for over twenty-two years, and together, they're raising two teenage daughters. For Steve, balance is key—he values exercise, rest, and quality time with friends. He's chairperson of the board at College Avenue Church, demonstrating that leadership extends beyond the boardroom and into every aspect of life.
