What did you study in college?
I received a B.S. in Psychology with a minor in International Development from Point Loma Nazarene University. The combination of these two areas of study allowed me to engage in topics that I am deeply passionate about in addition to opening beautiful doors for me both locally and abroad.
What piece of advice would you give to someone who's choosing a college?
This is an awesome opportunity for you to make a decision that you think is best for you. With that being said, here are a few thoughts.
- As you consider what is next, be attentive to what lights up your heart. What does the environment look like? What do the friendships look like? What does the culture look like? What do you look like? If there is a college that speaks to your heart and lights up your soul — choose that one!
- Don’t be afraid to ask questions so that you can see where is the right community for you.
- You often don’t know the impact of your decisions until later in life, so be courageous and trust yourself! You know best what you are hoping to get out of your college experience.
- No matter where you go, you will be exactly where you’re supposed to be. You can’t evade your destiny
