Dr. Ryan Nokes has been a professor at Point Loma Nazarene University since 2015 and is currently the Clinical Education Coordinator for the Master's of Science in Athletic Training Program. Dr. Nokes teaches in both the Undergraduate and Graduate Kinesiology Departments as well as multiple courses in the Athletic Training Program. Dr. Nokes is a Board Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), and a NASM Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC).

Experience in Field
Clinically, Dr. Nokes has served as an athletic trainer at San Francisco State University where he worked with men’s soccer and women’s track and field. Dr. Nokes later became the head athletic trainer at Point Loma High School in San Diego, CA where he worked with a total of 20 different sports. He also has experience working in a Chiropractic setting.
Dr. Nokes’s research interests include the use of patient-reported outcome measures to assess the effectiveness of therapeutic modalities and manual therapies. He also has research interests in the use corrective exercise to treat functional musculoskeletal dysfunction.
