Robert Costa grew up in the Bay Area. Right out of High School, Robert joined the US Air Force where he served as a medic and worked in the Air Force Intensive Care Unit and Emergency Dept in the country of Korea. Robert returned to his roots in the Bay Area to finish his college at San Jose State and Foothill College in Radiation Therapy. His passion to heal cancer patients drove his desire to expand his career in cancer research and medical Physics. Robert later went on to get his M.S. in Medical Physics and Dosimetry from Stanford University. He is board certified in Radiation Therapy and Medical Dosimetry. Robert worked with University of Wisconsin on developing a new 3D convolution algorithm that is currently being used to predict accurate delivery of radiation prior to 6 weeks of treatment to cure cancer while sparing normal tissue. After that, Robert was recruited by a large medical company called Philips as the Director of Opperations, and later he found an opportunity to serve the medical community by building his own company that provided refurbished medical equipment to hospitals that could not afford new. He sold this company back in 2012 and served on Jesuit High School Board for 8 years. Robert then found his next calling to work at the local healthcare organization in Sacramento where he put his years of experience to work for his local community for the past 7 years. Robert enjoys spending time with his wife Denise and their two children, Audre, and Noah along with any outdoor activity available – Surfing, Mountain Biking, Paddle Boarding, and Pickle Ball!
